Ecma International approves new standards


Geneva, 7 December 2022

The 124th General Assembly held in Geneva on 6-7 December 2022 approved the following documents:

  • ECMA-74 20th edition – Measurement of Airborne Noise emitted by Information Technology and Telecommunications Equipment
  • ECMA-418-1 2nd edition – Psychoacoustic metrics for ITT equipment — Part 1 (prominent discrete tones)
  • ECMA-418-2 2nd edition – Psychoacoustic metrics for ITT equipment — Part 2 (models based on human perception)
  • ECMA-420 2nd edition – Device interface information for high-speed collation using holographic optical correlation
  • ECMA-421 1st edition – Quality discrimination method of optical disks and operating method of storage systems for long-term data preservation
  • ECMA-422 1st edition – C# Specification Suite
  • ECMA TR/111 1st edition – Overview of Universal Archive Disk Format (UADF)
